• The Met Gala was hosted on May 5th, drawing some of the most famous and elite people from around the world. Here are some of the highlights for the night:

  • The theme was “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” allowing for more freedom in the outfits than previous years have.

  • Rihanna’s Marc Jacobs outfit features a corset fitted around her stomach, an example of the theme that surpasses expectations.

  • Zendaya showed up in an all-white Louis Vuitton outfit, that, while stunning, was a bit of a letdown from the traditionally extra and intricate outfits Zendaya wears.

• Later in the month, the time came for the Cannes Film Festival, which, despite focusing on film, included some stunning outfits from the stars on the red carpet

• As more time passes after Trump’s tariffs, inflation continues to rise. Over the month of May, it rose by 2.4 percent.

• With the economy now unstable from the sudden changes, job growth has started slowing down, a trend that continued during May.

• However, despite these new challenges, many of the top business owners aren’t preparing for a recession.
