The Economic Report

New employment numbers released in December showed that the U.S. added only 64,000 jobs in November, while the unemployment rate reached 4.6%, its highest level in several years.
Despite concerns about jobs and inflation, economic growth earlier in the year had been strong. A delayed government report released on December 23 estimated that U.S. GDP grew at a 4.3% annual rate during the third quarter of 2025, driven partly by consumer spending, exports, and government spending.
