  • January 2026 fashion trends kicked off with a major menswear season as Pitti Uomo returned to Florence from January 13–16 with more than 750 brands, followed by Milan Fashion Week Men’s.   • Paris Fashion Week Men’s Fall/Winter 2026 took place from January 20–25, featuring over 60 runway shows and presentations. Highlights included Louis Vuitton by Pharrell Williams, Dior by Jonathan Anderson, and Véronique Nichanian’s final collection for Hermès after 37 years at the fashion house.

  • Paris Haute Couture Week Spring 2026 followed from January 26–29 with 29 fashion houses participating. One of the biggest moments was Jonathan Anderson’s first haute couture collection for Dior, alongside Matthieu Blazy’s couture debut at Chanel and Silvana Armani’s first collection following Giorgio Armani’s death. The Economic Report 

  • U.S. inflation remained above the Federal Reserve’s 2% goal. Data released January 13 showed the Consumer Price Index rose 0.3% in December and 2.7% over the previous 12 months, with shelter and food among the biggest contributors. Read the official BLS Consumer Price Index report.

  • On January 28, the Federal Reserve kept interest rates unchanged at 3.5%–3.75% after cutting rates three times late in 2025. The Fed said economic activity remained solid but inflation was still somewhat elevated and job gains remained low. Read the Federal Reserve’s January 2026 statement.
